In Preparation

Monica: It began with a light drizzle on Saturday. By today, it was full-on raining. I realized with a sigh that it was time to retire my light summer shoes and dust off my sturdy waterproof boots. I have a few colorful accessories to help me endure the gray: a sunflower umbrella and colorful polka-dot rain boots. I see I'm not the only one who appreciates fun wet-weather gear.

Evelyn: I had been looking forward to a quiet sunset picnic in Clearwater for a good week. In anticipation I hauled turkey sandwiches on fresh baked Italian and some delicate but delicious pastries from a little authentic Italian bakery-bistro in Spring Hill— just in time for the setting sun. It doesn't matter what time of day it is, the seagulls certainly know when there is an opportunity—which made for a lively gathering.
