I love those flowers... nothing is blooming in Florida right now. The last few days have been so cold that my early morning walks with Gizmo are filled with sparkling tendrils of ice hanging precariously off ivy, grass, and palms. Miniature winter wonderland, so rare for Florida.
We went for a walk to Jug Handle beach and the northern headlands this morning. Overcast skies and a quiet landscape haven't inspired me much, so it's always a joy to find a spot of color hiding amidst the greens and browns of winter. I am always surprised: a flower blooms in January.
