Evelyn: Some things have been going on at work that have managed to throw me off kilter enough that my neck has been in a chronic state of pain. It doesn't stop me from swing dancing, but certainly keeps me from inviting a few dips on the floor. Tonight required ice, and the bag, late at night, reminded me that things like this are temporary, and even infrequent like a leap year.

Tin Man
Evelyn: I had to drop off my artwork, and pick up my Artist Pass for the Ybor City, Nude Nites Exhibit. Walking the streets of Ybor I bumped into this little shop (of horror) with life-size scary versions of the Wizard of Oz characters. Tin man glowed under the street lights, looking out to the world with a sense of longing I could connect with.

Helping Hands
Evelyn: Justin and I are making it a bit of a habit to engorge ourselves Sunday mornings at Lenny's, then run off guiltily to the Natures Food Patch to collect organic veggies, fruit, beans and salmon for a weeks worth of meals. We have been cooking together on Sundays, preparing what will keep us afloat until Thursday. I enjoy these little kitchen adventures, my son scolding me on my kitchen habits while preparing the stuff that makes me cry.

Happy/Sad
Evelyn: Morning dew on an early morning adventure. I went with a friend to Ft. DeSoto State Park, yet another military ground, housing all kinds of cavernous barricades and strange rooms. My adventure partner and I hummed deeply into the various compartments, listening to the resonating sound move in the space and vibrate our heads and chests. We explored the beaches, talked about the wildlife, and perused the hot dog stand. Something about the droplets of water collecting at the center of this flower feels sad, perhaps speaking to the part of me that desires deeper connections and a place to rest when I feel weary.

Housing Curiosities
Evelyn: I sometimes go outside at work, with the "smokers," to get myself a bit of sunshine and share in some of the social-work that goes on. This time I happened to be alone upon my return and saw this creature hanging from the door. He had parked there for several days. About the width of my palm, somewhat intimidating, we made the agreement not to startle each other and continue on with what we were doing.

Wavey
Evelyn: I had spent 2 1/2 hours walking the beach in the cold wind and overcast skies. It was a worthwhile adventure to the "North Pole" of Clearwater beach. To top it off, after a nice nap I went dancing - and at about 10pm my left foot (the one I had sprained the year before) exploded in pain. I found myself soaking it in Epsom salts nightly, before bed, for about a week.

Observers
Evelyn: OK, so usually I am not cutesie, nor do I favor pictures of stuffed animals, HOWEVER, this couple showed up at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom to swing dance (they were fabulous at it) and apparently the smaller couple (a Pez wielding rabbit, swinging tiger) have paparazzi moments throughout their travels with Kristen & Bob. It was late, and they were fun, so I took a moment.

Friday
This is Monica's image. i loved it so much I felt it needed to stand on it's own... not to mention it was an odd day with a horizontal picture instead of vertical, and I didn't want to ruin the exquisiteness of this with my goofy image...
Evelyn: Balloon pup - lasted nearly a month before it finally wrinkled up and wilted.
